Resultative, pseudo-resultative, false resultative in Arabic and the Agreement between the direct object and the result.
A. Introduction In Bedouin Arabic dialect there is a relation between the direct object and the adjective or adverb result, it means that the relation is not just with the verb, Levinson 2010: "the individual argument modified by pseudo- resultative is in fact syntactically active and denoted by the lexical root of the verb". I will show what is acceptable according to native speaker of Bedouin Arabic in resultative, pseudo-resultative and false resultative and I will try to find why in some sentences, there is agreement and in some others, there is not. In addition, I will propose a way, how we can make unacceptable resultative construction in Bedouin Arabic to be acceptable.
