תקציר העבודה
The purpose of this paper is to find out why the United Kingdom chooses not to join the Eurozone. The paper is structured into two main sections and a conclusion. The first section presents issues between the mechanisms which the Eurozone works by, to the economic interests of the United Kingdom. In addition to that, the second section provides and overview of three cases of states (Ireland, Cyprus, Iceland) which had faced an economic crisis. However, they vary from one another regarding certain characteristics. Follow by each state's case study, an explanation of what lessons can be learned by the UK through these cases is given. These lessons are useful in order to explain and to understand the United Kingdom's decision not to join the Eurozone. Finally, the concluding sections offers an overview of the presented in the paper.
